Detroit's Ford Field perplexes riders; once soft and rutty, it now resembles more of a West Coast event. This has surprised many and today was no different, as a handful of stars took to the track for the pre-race press festivities. Monster Energy Kawasaki's Chase Sexton, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Jorge Prado, the Partzilla Blaster Power PRMX team including new recruit Kyle Peters, Twisted Tea Suzuki powered by Progressive Insurance Suzuki's Justin Bogle and more were included in the session that took industry personnel away from below freezing temperatures.
Watch as those riders tackled a portion of the track (press day participants never hit the whoops) in this raw video direct from downtown. Speaking of the whoops, those appear to be quite big on this occasion. It's a short section, however, and riders will be able to jump in and out in one spurt, so it's likely that'll be the preferred line.
