The EMX85 Motocross European Championship is Europe's premier motocross championship for riders aged 11 to 14, providing one of the most important stepping stones on the pathway to professional motocross. Organised by FIM Europe, the championship brings together the continent's most promising young riders, many of whom progress to the EMX125, EMX250 and eventually the FIM Motocross World Championship (MXGP).
The championship begins with regional qualifying events across Europe before the best riders progress through the semi-finals to the EMX85 European Final, where the championship is decided. The final is traditionally held alongside an MXGP World Championship event, giving riders the opportunity to compete on one of motocross's biggest stages.
